    Description

      Before change:

      Dump functionality is unavailable.

      After change:
      Jira Server / DC BigPicture product family (BigGantt/BigPicture) data is possible to dump and restore on the same instance or different instance of Jira Server / DC (migration process).

      Following use cases are supported:

      • database dump is automatically done before every plugin update (eg. upgrade tasks)
      • database dump can be done and restore on the same instance on demand
      • database dump can be done and restore on the other instance of the Jira Server / DC.
      • Data are possible to migrate between instances (all data are migrated at once)

       

       
      This feature does not guarantee that all Gantt, Scope, etc. data will remain the same as at the time that dump was done, due to difference of issue states present on environment the dump is restored and synchronisation process. The state shift and synchronisation may result in irreversible changes to Jira instance after dump restore.
       

       This feature does not include migration from Jira Server to Jira Cloud. Server to Cloud migration is described in https://jira.softwareplant.com/browse/ONE-29627.
